Default RE: Sizing?

The Zenoah is a good engine, and the plane may be designed for the weight of the engine, plus it's probably the more economical choice when you consider alternatives. A DA-50, or ZDZ 50 are going to be lighter and make more power, are smaller, but much more expensive than the G-62. You could go for a small twin, such as a GT-80 Fuji, and I think 3W makes something about that size, but again, the extra cost., plus you may end up having to add nose weight to balance them. Good luck on the build, neat looking plane.

Just a little information control here...

The G-62 is more powerful then a DA-50 or a ZDZ 50... these engines are lighter yes.. but not more powerful. An engine that is lighter and as powerful as the G-62 would be the Brillelli 366GT 60cc. However it's more money and you may need the extra weight as already mentioned.

I probably would stick with the G-62 myself.. it seems to be the right combo.. have one down at our field.

You really cant compare the 2.. the G-62 is better quality and more powerful.

If you buy one lightened it's also lighter. http://www.bcmaengines.com/BCMA60.htm

I wouldn't waste my time with a Fuji
