Default 2 questions

1. Has anyone tried the forward only conversion for Tmaxx, if so do you think it helps or hurts?
2. Has anyone ever tried to make their Tmaxx 2WD for better steering? When you let off the throttle it turns better, for obvious reasons.

Default RE: 2 questions

The FOC works well, and helps Max launch faster.

And the Idea that a 2wd will steer better is a bit of a myth, because with 2wd you have to much power and the tail will be flicking out all over the place, rendering the steering upgrade  [ if u could call it that ]  useless.

4x4 doesnt really restrict its steering, and at high speed it helps it, because they dont turn as fast, and are not as twitchy.
Hope it helps.

I do the forward only conversion FOC on all my trucks, less weight, less mass spinning in tranny, only good things. To improve steering go to a better servo.

Better servo?  Will a better one make the wheels turn "sharper" under power.

I see, the higher torque can fight the wheels wanting to straighten up under power?  What is a good brand servo for this that is a direct replacement?

Think I found out why I was not turning good.  Although better servos are still an option.  There was a screw missing in one of the brackets in the steering!!!  The bracket was flexing terrible.  As a matter of fact, there are several screws missing in the truck.  I thought the empty holes were for options or something until I looked closer!!  Loctite!!
