Copper Antenna Wire
Hi All,
I got my board back from Spectrolutions but they forgot to send the antenna. Mike told me its just a 7 inch piece of piano wire but I couldn't find piano wire at Home Depot. Is there any reason I can't just use like 18 guage copper wire for an antenna? Thats what I bought and it seems to work at close range but I don't want to find out it may cause problems further away. Anyone know where I can buy piani wire? Would a paper clip work ok as well? Thanks

RE: Copper Antenna Wire
test the range with TI on so if it loses signal it will land itself. I wouldn't use a paper clip, but I really don't know. I assume the length needs to be precise, and I would think your copper would work fine.

RE: Copper Antenna Wire
Thanks, I figured it would be at a hobby store, it seems most of the hobby stores close by though are stictly for modelers. They may still have it though. I just figured Home Depot would have it as well but I was wrong. The copper wire I bought seems to be working great. Only difference is that is isn't quite as flexible.
