Default Fanatic Maxx

Has anybody got the newest issue of RC Car?

It has a review of a 6 wheeled maxx. It looks awesome.

Just wondering if anybody else has seen this.

The six-wheeled Maxx has actually been around for a few years. Their may be some new companies offering the conversion now, but the original kit that I recall allowed for someone change their Maxx back to a four-wheel truck in a matter of a few minutes.

The site for the conversion is [link]http://www.gillimods.com[/link].

Cost about $170. Was thinking about getting it, then strapping two engines on top of the extensions, remove the stock engine and put another fuel tank there.

i,m familure with the owner of gallimods(john)..he's a smart fella. i also saw his 6-wheel creations run at a RCCA race over the summer up in connecticut.....they handle like you wouldn't believe. john ran the 6-wheel t/maxx(also had a 6/wheel e-max with him) in competition.......got him into the b-main..not bad for a stock .15 engine........it was the handleing that got him there.......

May I shock you folks with info on another kit? I got about halfway through my 6x6 project when I saw the Gallimods article, and I'm not too impressed by his work. Here's a link to another kit, available through Hilltop RC in New Hampshire:

[link=http://www.t-maxx6x6conversion.freehomepage.com/]Hilltop 6x6 Kit[/link]

It's much simpler than the Gallimod, and easier to install. I had very few problems putting mine together.

As for t vs. e, e-maxxes handle much better than t's, because after the conversion, the CG of an e-maxx is right under the EVX, dead nuts center in the truck. The T-maxx is somewhere under the center axle and a bit farther back, so it'll push more.

Just giving any hopefuls here a choice in building
