Default Pico .26

Hi all.
Just wondering what would be involved in converting a standard tmaxx .25 to a pico .26. I have the engine. Is it a straight conversion, or should I be on the lookout for additional brackets etc. Many thanx.

The stock driveline is going to be very stressed out like an air traffic controller without coffee
(that's a bad picture huh) and the diffs are going to be pretty upset as well.

Can the drivetrain be updated to cope with the stress?? What do you recommend??

You'll need cvds, steel/aluminum tranny gears, and a steel spur. Dynamite and XTM have complete conversion kits (minus the gears).

welcome to the real word. Here the the first hand skinny on putting a .26 pico in your maxx. i just got mine up and running. i'm breaking in the motor now but it is very cold here.
Too cold too be out side.
You will need a longer chassis. I got a XTM conv. kit $129.00. It as steel cvd drive shafts, and moves the throttle servo so it works better with a sided carb. You will toast your your t-maxx clutch real quick. 3 tanks or so. i put a strobe slipper clutch from unlimit engineering $22.00 on the trans. so i can run a 1/8 scale clutch 18/51 gears. The first time out for break-in runs at full throttle it took the teeth off the forward gears. both primary and output gear. I up graded too RRP's Forward only kit all harden steel gears $ 52.00. and i know that the rear ends are next. RRP makes steel dif gears for the rears$25.00 Ea. but i do not know how well they will hold up to a .26. (UE.) also makes diff housing and kits so you can put 7.5 diffs in your t-maxx, but thats big money about $400.00 way too much for me. but will hold up to just about anything. I also have ofna Monster Blazer wheels & tyers. The ofna 1/8 scale 3 shoe flywheel and clutch $36.00. but a HPI flywheel & clutch from a Savage 21 or SS will get the job done for half the price $16.00 Thats what i got for mine.
Well thats all for now if you need to know more just ask.
