I noticed that the rear drive shaft/axle of my aftershock is poping out of the housing. Considering that it cannot shrink and neither the rear differntial and transmission cannot shift, I dont know what could be the reason. Now i cannot transfer power to the rear wheel and luckily noticed this before major damage. Is there any way to reduce the gap between the rear diff and central housing.


Pictures will tell my story. other than that and a clutch replacement I love this truck

This would probably be better in the losi section.

It seems to me though that your chassis must be bent? I think that is the only way you would be able to lose the rear driveshaft like that. Unless that is the wrong shaft and it is close, but just not quite long enough. Id look to see if your chassis is bent, differential is pushed back somehow or something similar.

You Probably have a Cracked or Broken Diff Retainer ring........... & a Tweaked Chassis would also cause it......

I measured the chasis with a new one and mine and its the same. I will check the differential housing though

i replaced the side chassis as one of them had a crack in it. Seems to have helped in getting the axle in. Thanks All

My old muggy did that, the bulkhead was cracked pretty bad but you couldnt see it untill i took it apart.
