Default power supply interferes

the owner of my local tracks claims my MRC power supply is “jams” or” interferes” with the AMB timing system, is this a common problem

does anyone know anything i can do to fix it

Try putting it in a metal box or wrapping a bunch of aluminum foil around it.
And put some distance between the supply and the whatever it is interfering with.

Switching power supplies can do that due to the nature of their high frequency operation. But yeah, like Access said, some insulation will probably do the trick.

Not insulation, for high-frequency RF (ie. microwave) the metal acts primarily like a reflector (and an absorber). Wrapping it in electrical tape (an insulator) wouldn't have any effect, most of the RF would just pass right through that. If you open up some non-ASIC RF devices you'll often see different modules or boards inside metal boxes or shields to keep them mostly isolated from the rest of the unit. Likewise a microwave oven is primarily inside a metal box, so that the microwaves are almost completely contained within the box rather than radiating outward.

Thanks for clarifying that, Insulation wasn't the best choice of wording.
