razor yak balancing
just got a razor yah with a os 91fx,using hitec hs-625 on tail and jr 4131 on the ailerons, engine is as far forward and batt is in the left winf in front of the tube ,rx is behind the tube, why is it so tail heavy at 8.5" needs quite a bit of lead to get it to balance, besides moving the tail servos behind the wing what else can i do?

If you haven't maidened it yet, how would you know it's too tail heavy to comfortably fly it?
You have to cut a hole in the leading edge sheeting and run your wires through the said hole.

when you static balance it the tail just drops to the floor so that would tell me its tail heavy,so i did get the battery under the tank, took the thro servo out and fed the wires in the servo hole with the thro servo leads and put the servo back in so i did not have to cut another holr in the fuse.got 13 flights on it and it flies beautiful,a tad tail heavy but its more fun like that, hovers sweer and blenders are insane thanks omp for designing a sweet slab

If you put heavy servos in the tail, the darn thing won't balance, without a heavy motor. to get down to lowest possible weight, tail servos have to be light, but with enough torque. I put relatively heavy servos in tail, and was forced to install the OS 91 way forward, but no lead.

Glad you got it balanced ok. The RY is a tough one to balance having the really short nose. It is the short nose and long tail with huge surfaces that give teh RY its unique flying characteristics. Some folks have moved the tail servos forward to aid in balancing.

went flying sunday as it was a beautiful day,got together with a bunch of friends and went to a new strip, flew 4 tanks then went to the field where i always fly.last flight coming in to land was a bit short and the left wing tip caught some high grass and down it came.went to retrieve the wreckage and found only damage was the left wing rib next to the fuse came out and cracked the fuse where the lazar parts go together, took the covering off to find there was like no glue holding the pieces together no biggie just put some glue on the joints and ready for the covering

As long as your wing bolt is tight and there is no damage to the root ribs from your crash. Do a good inspection of the root rib joints and wick in CA to any suspect areas. Make sure your root rib is secure to all the sheeting, spars, and wind tube. Often times when you have a crash there might be damage in places you can't readily see.
