RE: 200mph!!!!!!!!
Everyone has a different idea on what make a hobby, or anything else, fun. Personally, I'd rather be flying an RC airplane than any other type of model, but that's just me. The diversity is what makes modeling as a whole so enjoyable to so many people.

RE: 200mph!!!!!!!!
Tether cars been around for many years. I've seen articles about them from the early 50's.
How do you think RC cars got started????
I think it's kinda cool.
For those guys, building a car ment engineering the parts and then milling them from raw stock. They didn't just pick out parts from a magazine and then order them at the LHS.

RE: 200mph!!!!!!!!
I think you just let the car run out of fuel and wait. I know that tether cars can reach an extremely high rate of speeds. But as the guy above said look at the birds they do fly pretty quick. So I'm sure there was some video editing done. Maybe these guys are quite going as fast as other cars are so they made it look that way but these cars can get up to the 200 mph mark.
But yes I do think it is on a rotation though as I have seen this posted or post's about this same thing about 30 million times so far, But hey they dont know that it has been posted that many times though.

Its not fake, the video is just old. Thats just how some digital playback are. The video may look like fake, but the speed that tether cars can achieve is real.

RE: 200mph!!!!!!!!
ok I have to agree that the "birds" are flying too fast and they certainly aren't sparrows or any other little fast birds, the black dot whizzing around is a gnat or flie really close to the lens. No bird flys in loopy patterns like that, it's a bug. lol

I don't know why, but that post had me falling out of my chair LOL. it's odd how just the way something is worded can make it seem hillarious to me. oh, but it is a cool vid, that's the first time I saw it.

RE: 200mph!!!!!!!!
naw, I never saw it before now, but if I had, I probably would have thought they were unusually fast for birds too. that vid makes me wonder if a tether car can be made R/C. would servos 'N stuff weigh it down too much for it to hit the same speeds? and I guess you would have to add an extra wheel?
