Tigercat F7F Plans Wanted
But not for myself. I'd just scratch build. A buddy in the business wants to market an F7F ARF in the 65 to 80" range, Doesn't have to be super scale, for 46-60 2s or 60-100 4s engines.
Anybody know of one he could negotiate for?
All assistance appreciated.
Bill.

OK, I found the F7F listed as having "Plans and parts" available on the PassTime site.
But no more information came up.
How big is it? What engine size? More information please.
Bill.

The 65" plans are "R/C kits" designed by Bob Campbell. It is of all balsa construction. The larger are Grumman outlines that show no model structure information. I also have a set of Bridi F7F 65" that was fiberglass/foam construction. My Bridi Tigercat is hanging in my shop. I never did fly it. it's painted up to match the full size one that I was crew chief on in the 80's. If you are interested in one of them, let me know which. I'll have to dig them out and see what size mailing tube it will take to determine price. If a ARF one was available in about 80" span, I would be interested.

I have the Bridi kit complete. The glass and foam doesn't lend itself to an inexpensive ARF - look at the VQ and KMP kits. A wooden airplane can be made in smaller quantities without anywhere nearly so high a price.
I'm definitely interested in the Campbell plan.
Let me know, please. PM your telephone number if you wish.
Thanks.

Hi Bill,
I finally found them!! The wing span is 62.5" instead of 65" and it's for 2 .40's. The stab and vertical are foam cores which I don't have. Otherwise it has all the bulkheads and ribs on the plan. It is the F7F-3 with the tall tail.
If you are still interested, the price is $10 including shipping.
Let me know,
Wayne
