OS 52 FS Repair
The bad news is I crashed my P51 Mustang. The good news is I have put her back together and she looks great again. The impact of the crash broke the mounting lug off the side of the case. I braised it back together but it did not hold up. I have ordered a new crank case and back plate and should receive them next week. My question is how do you time the cam shaft to the crankshaft?
Are there timing marks to line up like on a car engine? I have not taken it apart yet but I am no stranger to "Lets take her apart and figure out how it works." Give me a clue folks. I can't wait to get her back in the air.

I recommend you get Harry Higley's book "ALL ABOUT ENGINES". It will help you through this process. It also lists instructions on Saito and Enya 4 strokes in addition to O.S. 4 strokers. It describes in detail the disassembly and reassembly process. I wouldn't be without my copy. See http://members.aol.com/harryhig/Books2.htm.
Gook Luck.
