Default Qantas QF32 A380, where is it now?

Someone questioned me what ever happened to the A380 that returned to Singapore after
the engine failure. Thankfully no injuries thanks to the skill of the crew but what ever
happened to the extensively damaged airframe?

I heard that the plane had been stripped of all interior equipment but the hulk is still in
Singapore.

A lot of model jet guys work in the industry, any information? - John.

Default RE: Qantas QF32 A380, where is it now?

Last I had heard was it sat and sat and finally after a 3 figure (million) dollar insurance payout it was getting as mentioned a new front spar and a bunch of ribs. Pretty sure the wing would have to be dropped and stripped for a repair like that. Also a rumor floating around that Quantas would not fly it out of there without the modified RR Trent motors being swapped out. If that is the case Trent is way back logged on their engine modification and not sure if the other engines on that airframe are still installed or removed. I am gonna guess again and say if you are removing a wing the aircraft would have to be cribbed and the other two motors would have been removed also? Again all I get is rumors and guesses. Someone on this forum surely has had eyes or ears on this bird.

Also a lot of talk on how to declutter *****in betty on the A380's and how much information is to much information to still be useful. Anyone know if this has started or will start?
