KATANA Glow or Gas??????
I am looking at a 1/4 scale creek hobbies Katana. I want to go gas. But I realize it might make the plane too heavy. I might want and O.S. 1.60. But the fuel cost bugs me. Thats why I like gas.
Does any one know of a gas engine that is light and can give a 10.5 to 12 lb plane 3d ability?

KATANA Glow or Gas??????
This has been discussed some in the ARF or RTF forum. Jim from Creek flew one with a 3w24 but still likes the OS 1.6 better at least at this point. The 3w24 is new and still breaking-in and gaining power. I think another good gasser choice for this plane is the FPE 2.4. This engines weighs in at approx. 3 lbs. with ignition and muffler. I have the FPE and am thinking about getting the Katana myself. Also others have been considering/installing the RCS 1.4 and 1.8.

Katana-OS 1.60
One of our club members will fly the Katana from Creek Hobbies this weekend with the 1.60 engine. It was almost ready this weekend, but is supposed to have it ready by Sat. or Sun. at the latest. Give me an e-mail if you will be near New Iberia this weekend.
