Help - how to connect motor to speed controller?
Hello all,
I have built beginner level of RC cars in the past, such as Tamiya TT-02D and TL series. Recently I decided to go a step further and built a TA-05 Ver II.
However, problem arose and I have no idea how the cables from the speed controller can connect and locked to the motor. May I ask if anyone can provide me with some guidance?
Much appreciated.

Well, you have five wires coming from the Speed Controller. All of them are bare and need connectors attached to them.
The red and black are for the battery, and you can pretty much choose the connector. Traxxas and Deans are pretty common choices, but Deans might be a little better for you and they're made to plug in one way. Of course when you buy the battery you want to run it would need to have a Deans connector. You would need to solder the Deans plug on.
The other 3 wires are color coded, and the same colors get plugged into each other. For these you would need to attach the proper connectors that would allow them to plug in together, but I'm not completely sure on what those are. I've been away from electric for a bit, and am having a little blank, so hopefully someone else can help you out a little more
Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Ah, thanks for clarifying that Rob. I kept wondering what type of connector that would be since I knew it wasn't bullet.

looks like the orange / yellow / blue posts on the motor are actually female connectors .
It would allow you to easily switch 2 wires if your motor is going the wrong way ( sensorless )
