Good handling boats, will handle rough water pretty well although not the fastest boats out there you should see 40+ with a stock zen and a good prop.A mate of mine has the challenger hull i think its 36-38" with a .61 sports motor and he gets 35 easy and thats with a fully submerged drive, def go surface drive for all out speed though.

A friend of mine also bought one from Aeromarine last summer with a stock Zen 260 and it ran in the 45-47mph range with a mod prather 275 prop.

If you want to go fast go with the 43" challenger. If you want a boat that is 5" longer and certainly slower and less agile then go for the 48. The 48 is somewhat speed limited. Believe it is the strakes that give her (the 48) too much lift in the bow if higher speeds than around 50 are desired. Great sport boat though - just dont think of racing her.

the one i bought is the pink circus circus one in here for sale....it has a stage 1 mod 26..should be fast but i have not heard about them being light in the front....interesting should be a blast to control...lol i did hear they were very fast as far as sport boats go, with this mod 26 heard low to mid 50s, either way great hull from wehat i read about and great in the chop....
