What is it going to be put in? The 60a would be a better all-around esc, it would allow you to swap it out to other RCs without to much worry and give you more motor choices. That being said the 35a is quite capable in the right rcs. I got one in my Tamiya TL-01 on road car, I've also used one in a Losi xxx-t stadium truck. Both you'll note, are light vehicles.

if the price and size is close on both, opt for the 60A

What it going in? Any 2wd 1/10 r/c should be good with the 35a. They are great ESC's.

agree there are alot of monster trucks saying a MT don't help

if its the stampede 2wd it should be fine, a stampede 4X4 will fry a 60A one (trust me I almost toasted one in a slash 4X4 with lower gearing, and tires than a pede 4X4)

Now in my tamiya DF-02 the 35A one runs cool. So its kinda a hard call unless we know exactly what its goin in.
