gas & oil
Hi;
My Fuji manual highly recommends their oil, (not cheap!), and the ratio ends up significantly higher, after break-in, (100:1), than many other engines. Is this oil that much better?
Another thing, the manual says not to use gasoline with alcohol. In my neck of the woods, everything has 10% alcohol. Is this going to be a problem?
Thanks!

RE: gas & oil
You cannot avoid alcohol in gas in one form or another in America now. Premium blends will have the least so if you're really concerned about it you can go that route. The warning about alcohol is intended to apply to the carb diaphragms, which for the most part will not have issues anymore.
I don't know who blends their oil or it's limitations so I won't comment about running their product at 100-1. Wasn't that long ago Fuji suggested even leaner oil ratios so I'm not sure they know what they are talking about. You do not need to purchase and use their name specific oils. Any better 2 stroke oil from 32-1 to 50-1, and in some cases leaner, will leave you in good shape. Do a search about oils in this form and have a good read. It should keep you busy for several days at least. Unless the rings and bearings in the Fuji's are significantly different (extremely doubtful) from what every other engine uses you will be able to use similar oils and ratios as all the other engines on the market.
