Running the same settings as last weeks race no changes 20 min. main everything was great temp. around 230. Then in warm up the rod let go got the piston too well guess it is time for the O.S 18TM to go in.

RE: Con. Rod broke
I called Traxxas they said that they would not replace any thing. try to tell me that I was running the motor to lean or I over reved the motor. said they would do the exchange for 130 dollars for that much I will give the O.S 18TM a shot. After 2 gallons of fuel I think I know something about A motor. Well I love the rest of the Revo have stand behide them at times. I just think Traxxas should do some checking on the con. rod seems like lots of ppl are breaking them and its just not newbies. Im not trying to start a flame here just really mad after you put 500.00 in a rc and something breaks like that and you know you didn't do anything wrong that somebody on the phone tells you its your doings. How do we even know that person even knows anything about rc. Well im going to like it go at that and hope that other ppl have better luck with there motor. [&o]

Send them pics of the motor if it wasn't your fault. You would have to prove that the motor was properly taken care of for them to replace it. The tm is the best answer though.

RE: Con. Rod broke
tell me, did the rod go through the block? because if you over revved the engine that would have been the likely outcome, and if it was run lean there would be dark brown/black marks on the top of the piston, if neither of them are the problem then call them on it and ask them exactly how the engine was run lean without carbon deposits on the piston, and over revved but the flywheel didn't have enough energy to put the rod though the block, ask them exactly how it happened then, they are BSing you to try and save money.

The rod didn't go though the block piston nice and clean. Its not worth the time to try to get them to do anything about it. Im going to be smart about it and get the O.S 18TM. Just hope nobody ask me what I think about the Traxxas 3.3 motor.
