Nitro Pede Motor
Hi all, I just ordered the new nitro pede and its on the way. Been a long time since i had one and couldnt resist the price. The question i have since i been out of the small blocks nitro for awhile is whats a good drop in motor? the last pede i had about 8 years ago i remember i put in a os .12 cvx ( had to trim the engine mounts a little) and it was nice. but since then whats a nice drop in for it? i know the .15pro wont be enough power for me . should i just grab up a 3.3 or is there more options to go for?
thanks, Redbeard

RE: Nitro Pede Motor
Hey Red, Congrats on a great truck. I have one of the older rusty's and I just dropped a TRX 2.5 in it and it has plenty of power. In my opinion I think that a 3.3 would be overkill, many have said that when they put those in the rusty's after around 50mph they can't keep the front ends on the ground. Also since the pede has such a much higher ground clearence it will probably be even harder. In my opinion I would go with either a 2.5 or 2.5R. Hope this helps some!

RE: Nitro Pede Motor
Thanks for the reply. Overkill is always fun. but i might have to check out the 2.5 since they sell so cheap on ebay . the idea of a 50mph nitro pede is a tempting one [>:]
