Hatch Fit
On mine which is not a true Avonds F-15, but an Aeroloft clone; I ended up cutting over half of the flange away in both the fuse & the hatch.
The flange in the fuse and on the hatch do not match in their respective angles, and as you try to fit the hatch flush it wedges in the fuse opening not letting it fully seat.
Some guys have went to the extent of cutting the flanges completely away and making new ones.
You're right, it is a PITA.
