Elevator stuck in flight... need advice
Well I was flying my UCanDo3D .46 (OS 70II) and suddenly I noticed that one of the elevators (dual read mounted elevator servos) was in the up position without my doing. It was quite a handful, almost toothpicks about three times, but finally after fighting to keep it in the air, I flipped rates (was on high I think and switched to low) and kept jamming the elevator and suddenly it righted itself and I had full control again. Landed, checked the throws and they didn't seem to be too far (whatever that may be), and had three flights with no problems, leaving the elevator at low rate.
Any ideas on what happened and how to prevent it? Thanks for any input!

Check the servo and I wouldn't use it again.
Was it the elevator channel or the slave channel?
I have had similar symptoms with servos myself and I recall it was a piece of a gear tooth that had gotten lodged in the remaining teeth, jamming the gears. Since you moved the stick back and forth and eventually got control back, this seems a likely reason. Look for a broken tooth.

They are "Expert SL571" servos.
I have a Futaba 9c and the ucd3d hasa rf127.
Elevator servos are plugged into channel 2 via y-harness.
I may have just figured it out. When I was trying to read the Servo model number, I moved the elevator to full throw. The servo arm went past the midline of the servo, and I couldn't swing the elevator back without manually moving the servo arm. I remember while I was flying with the elevator jammed I pulled up sharply out of a steep dive, it must have put enought pressure on the elevator to swing it back? So I should be OK if I reduce the high rates so it can't go that far. You agree?
THANKS FOR MAKING ME LOOK AT THE SERVO!

servo could be striped in at the far end of the throw, with the radio off and the surface disconnected rotate the servo slowly by hand from stop to stop your feel it if its striped
I had a brand new Mini Hitec MG jam on me in flight the other day right out of the box new one is much better though the gears were not cut well on the bad one, it was rudder, same thing after jaming sticks around it came free again
