I don't know if this helps. I measured 3 Futaba FP-R127DF receiver antennas as follows:
Ch 28 = 38.5 inches
Ch 34 = 42.5 inches
Ch 38 = 39.0 inches
I also measured a Futaba FP-R128DF receiver; CH 28 = 43 inches
These are all new receivers that I bought some time ago and have yet to be used in planes, so I know that the lengths are as received. These lengths are the wire outside of receiver, not including what is inside the receiver case.
From these lengths it appears that there is no standard length.

Any thing from 38 to 41 inches will work well, the receiver won't know the difference.

Quarter wave length for our 72mhz freq's ranges from around 38.5" to 39" or so. Anything close to that will probably be ok. Be sure to include the length inside the receiver case when you measure.

Our receivers are all base loaded to a degree so the 1/4 wave rule in not pertinent. The receivers are factory tuned by adjusting the inductance of the input circuitry. That is why the 35 MHZ, 6 meters etc. all use the same antenna length, anywhere from 39 to 41 inches.

I read in a magazine article that all futabas are 39 inches.
