antenna length
i could not remember what the standard length for a futaba fm reciever antenna was... can anyone help me out>? was it 33" ?
i had one i cut to put a deans™ antenna on.....and i wanted to get it back to original length

I don't know if this helps. I measured 3 Futaba FP-R127DF receiver antennas as follows:
Ch 28 = 38.5 inches
Ch 34 = 42.5 inches
Ch 38 = 39.0 inches
I also measured a Futaba FP-R128DF receiver; CH 28 = 43 inches
These are all new receivers that I bought some time ago and have yet to be used in planes, so I know that the lengths are as received. These lengths are the wire outside of receiver, not including what is inside the receiver case.
From these lengths it appears that there is no standard length.

Our receivers are all base loaded to a degree so the 1/4 wave rule in not pertinent. The receivers are factory tuned by adjusting the inductance of the input circuitry. That is why the 35 MHZ, 6 meters etc. all use the same antenna length, anywhere from 39 to 41 inches.
