The Making of a Shelf Queen - Lunchboxer's F103GT Courage
I know it is cheating, but what a better way to make a shelf queen?! Finished body, oh yes!!
Knowing me, I will run the car of course.. so it is probably not a bad idea to get a spare body for running.. just run a standard touring car body, maybe... (or Magic Carpet, LOL! )

These 2 items will go on the F103GT when it shows up.. maybe sometimes next week..
I guess the extended TLT will keep me entertained for awhile before I get that TXT.. LOL!

I know it is RWD with almost no suspension, I really shouldn't put too much power to it as it will be a handful to control (spin out)..
But, I think with some help from modern electronics, it might be okay..
Maybe...
I am thinking about running the Neo 1-Star in it to see what it is like.. with the help of Futaba G190 Piezo gyro.. LOL..
Anyone tried this before?! No doubt this will not be legal for racing, but hey, I am just a basher..
Talk about instant counter steering.. LOL!!

Yeah.. expensive watches can be $10k+ easily... definitely need a health income to support that kind of hobby! [:@]

I seen a guy on tv that collects watches...each watch is like thousands of dollars and the case to put the watch in is like $600!!!

Patek, Cartier.. you can probably have an entire RC collection with the price of one.
You going with 4 cell or 6 cell on this thing Lunchboxer?

6-cell all the way... gonna put some power in it and see if I can run the rate gyro to "help me drive" it... LOL! More like a fun project..
I decided that since it will be snowing soon, I should get the on-road car now.. and off-road (TXT) later as it can run in the snow...
See, it is all about planning.. (joke) [8D]
OT: I wouldn't put Patek and Cartier on the same level.. (Cartier = much more affordable)

Nice, I want to see how good a regular gyro would work in a car. NO silly Drift boxes....
OT: People tend to bling Cartier a lot more though, it's like the pimp watch of choice [X(]

That Futaba gyro is basically the same thing as the HPI DBox.. but for less than 1/2 the price... LOL! I will probably just get it to mess around with it.. maybe if I tweak it really well, I can run my RWD with the 4WD TC..
Probably not, but at least make it interesting, you know.. instead of just got left behind in the corners as you can't put down power..
We will see..
OT: Yeah, don't like diamonds on watch.. but then I am a guy, I am sure girls feel differently.. all my watches are stainless steel.. (I don't even like Ti..) I like big and heavy watches.. LOL!

Since you aren't going to run it much anyway, I probably wouldn't put a BL kit in it. I think a nice modified brushed motor with very short and clean wiring actually looks better anyway for a shelf queen. So I would suggest a nice 13T or similar brushed motor for that application.

If I was you, I would mainly pick a motor that looked good mounted in the truck though. (You know the color scheme of the can and all.)

Let me rephrase.. I don't think I will run much w/ that finished body on.. but I am pretty sure I will run it with some bash body.. (and test out the rate gyro setup.. )
But you might be right, that I generally don't run my cars that much at all.. as I derive a big part of my enjoyment out of building it / modding it.. I mean, driving it is fun too.. but......
For the price of those fancy motor, though ($60+, and you still need an ESC), I'd probably just step up to a BL system.. and can steal the system to put it on other car in the future if I don't run the F103 much..
From what I read.. anything more than 23T is too fast (you start to lose time in the turns) for this car as it is RWD only and very light.. that's why I am thinking about using the rate gyro to help out... no idea if that will work or not.. ha ha!
