Got it pretty much done, range checked, CG set, throws set, put the break in prop on it, just a couple small things left and its gonna fly!
Weighed 41 pounds dry according to my bathroom scale, so take that for what its worth. But other than that... its fly time baby!!!!!!
I will be updating the running review on our site tomorrow with more build pics.
Thanks!

I couldn't even imagine affording the 3.3M Yak. The 2.6M Yak is doable thought. What lies in my way is whether I want to drive or not! That is a hard choice I must say, but I won't be driving untill Christmas, a perfect time for a great Birthday/christmas gift, a nice old beat car[8D].

Get some wheels first Steven. I'll get a comp-arf when I get a bigger car or figure out some way to transport. It is so much fun watching John and some of the other guys here that get these planes, that is makes it a bit more bareable for me to fly the 27%ers. !~)

Thats the thing, I will still have about a grand left after I buy the 2.6M Yak for a car. Of course my dad is going to help. I just need to convince him[8D]. My dad has a Tahoe for transportation.

I must get a 2.6yak also.. I see now they have the JR scheme for the 3.3m, I LOVE that scheme... maybe on the next one[X(]
Shorty, you can always dress up your plane with vinyl
This thing is HUGE.. pics do not do it justice, its 34" to the top of the cowl! I had to redo the shelves in my trailer to get it to fit, so now there is nothing holding me back from flying it
Maybe tomorrow! Or friday!

Awesome John. Yeah I was talking with Bob Sharpio tonight. See what I can do. Problem is, I like the red/white/yellow scheme and I would wait another month to get it.
I need to find more stuff to sell! I got a Moki I can get rid of for $225-250 with Bisson in cowl muffler. Got a receiver I can get rid of for like $40. So selling the Moki could get me the nicer painted one, or 2 more 8611s.
How many servos are you running in yours? Did you end up going with 3 on the ailerons instead of two?

You must be running 4400s then right? Hehe... man that is a lot of servos. I got to get to bed here and get to work (sick) so I can buy this thing and still have money for el carro.
Make sure to get us all some video, and like 2 minutes of the motor at idle would be perfectly okay with me[sm=sunsmiley.gif]

RE: Pics for Shorty...( big yak attack )
There was a 3.3 Yak at the Hot Springs event. I have some video and pics. The plane's shape does not appeal to me, but it outflew every plane there in my opinion. It appeared to fly extremely light. Its slow speed characteristics were unbelievable. The guy flying brought in for a landing and turned right off the end of the run way flying slower than my 40 size profile. The rolling harriers he did were unbelievably slow and smooth.
I saw why people are so crazy over this plane. I have to move my video over to digital, and if someone will post it, I will email it to you.

Matt, if you have some Yak video, send it to me, Ill put it on our site.
I kinda agree, I was not crazy about the lines either at first, but it grew on me, and now I love the bold in your face stance of this thing.. seeing it in person is way different than pics too.
