hey guys im looking to get THE NEWer PTI crawler kit, just to bash around and see if i like to crawl and what not. I did some searches on this but didnt find anything to really answer my questions. Will this be a good rig to just play around with and do some backyard crawling, im not going to do any comps, just want something to see if i like, befor i invest lots of money intoa custom rig. How good is this thing in stock form, and whats the dif between a trail rig and crawler?

The PTI is OK, I would look into the Axial Scorpion (www.axialracing.com), it is a much more capable rig!

its also like twice the price and u still need all ele, thats alot of oney to spend to see if i like something

Then try a 4x4 HPI Wheely King.

Right around $200.00 RTR and only needs minor mods to be used as a crawler.

If your set on a PTI, by all means get one.

It will get you started and you can always upgrade to a more capable rig later if you find that crawling is to your liking.

im not set on anything, trying t figure out which is better a PTI or WK4x4...

The PTI axles are it's best feature. The chassis is so-so and the tranny isn't geared low enough.

The WK is inexpensive and parts are plentiful. The tranny is geared low enough to use in a crawler.
