engine oil/gas ratio for Quadra 42
I got this engine second hand. Presently, I'm using 32/1 gas/oil
mix. Is this the correct mix? Thanks for your help.

engine oil/gas ratio for Quadra 42
Hi,
It'll do!! Were using Silkoline Comp 2 pre-mix and running it at 50:1 and have been doing for many years...the engine still pulls very strong!
The only other advice i could give is to keep an eye on the recoil spring and every so often chuck some anti-sieze compound (copper slip grease) on the spring to prevent it doing anything nasty.
Happy flying

engine oil/gas ratio for Quadra 42
I used to rum my Q42s on Amzoil at a mix ratio of 80/1. The engines ran fine, and it made a lot less mess than running it at 32/1. One of the Quadras has over several hundred hours on it
I've been using Pennzoil Marine synthetic at 80/1 on my G45, and it's doing just fine, too. But it's only got 150+ hours on it, so only time will tell.
3D_CAP232 is right about oiling the spring. If the spring coils get dry, they will bind, and the spring will break. It wouldn't hurt to oil the clutch, too.
