Default What is the cheapest air compressor to blow off RC's?

I want one, but it seems like the cheapest I could get one would be about $100. am I correct?

You can get them for much cheaper than $100 if you look around. You can buy a small corded compressor for fairly cheap. I see them at our local peddelers mall for around $20 in good used shape all the time. Then you would only need a hose and spray attatchment if it doesent come with one. Also, keep an eye on your local craigslist.

Here is a good one that is tested and gauranteed to work:

I like the little "pancake" style compressors like that. They are very easy to store, and take with you. Its only a gallon tank, but if you keep it plugged in while you are using it, it wont be a problem, and really it may even do your whole r/c on one full tank. Plus it comes with a hose and some accessories, and its $45 shipped, and it is a well known brand.

Hope this helps some

Eric

I don't know if you have them in your part of the world, but I picked up a small compressor at Menards for less than $60 and it works great for blowing off the cars and i use it for my airbrush also. Like has been said, keep an eye out on EBay and Craigslist you should be able to find a good deal on one.

Now I'm interested in getting one. It only makes sense, really. My girlfriend is absolutely not happy with the amount I've spend already on my three nitros so I'll have to sneak that in somewhow.

If you live close to a Harbor Freight store, you can get a pancake 3 gallon compressor for $60 bucks.

I was JUST thinking that as I drove past one and wondered if they would have an inexpensive one. I will check tomorrow. Great idea but I've bought a few things from them before and they were complete junk so I'm on the fence.

The only problems i experienced with their stuff are the cheap tools . I believe the warranty on the compressors are only a few bucks just in case.

Yeah the warranty would be a must. Here's 6 pages of what they offer.

The prices are from like $10-$1,000+. They have a "starter kit" for $10 that has the hose and lots of attachments. I might stop in tomorrow and see what they have.

Go to sears... buy a craftsman.  Dont buy cheap tools, they will notlast.  I have 2 craftsman air compressors and haven't had a problemwith either.  I have a 33 gallon and a portable 3 gallon.  For what youwould be using it for a 3 gallon would probably do just fine.  Justlike r/c's, you get what you pay for!!!
