Why Fiber?
Reading through all these threads it seems like a fiber disk brake is what most people use but my question is:Why use fiber when you can get drilled aluminum? Is it just a weight advantage?

it also depends on the car. Many times that you see a fiber brake disk recommended is in reference to the Nitro RS4 3, and the reason is that the disk that comes with the kit is plastic. Also, you can buy the fiber disk for a fraction of the cost of a good aluminum or titanium disk, and in my opinion, it stops almost as well.

OK,I was just curious..I went ahead and ordered the Robinson Racing aluminum brake disk cuz other than weight or cost I didn't see any advantages to the fiber disk.My friend thinks the fiber one would have bad brake fade problems and I like the drilled/anodized look of the Robinson disk.

Why Fiber?
Yeah the stock plastic disc does a lousy job. Not much braking power to begin with and fades bad too. The fiber one is way better in all regards. Priced right too, about $15.
