I personally chose XRC (Extreme RC). What really got me hooked is their push to get NytroDyne's X-Dyno to become an industry standard to determine engine BHP and torque. Their engine review even got better (well, for a while, I think they are taking a hiatus from engine review for the last issue or two). But seeing X-Dyno and the true real world outputs coming out of it, that made me realize just how inflated HP and torque numbers are pumped up in advertisements.

This exageration of HP and torque by advertisers is the reason why high dollar Race-Grade engine makers such as the Rossis do not like to publish HP and torque. They know that the advertisers lie through their teeth.
OS Engines has also long resisted prining HP and torque outputs because they too were baffled as to how the advertisers are coming up with their numbers.

The engine advertisers, when asked how the heck they came up with these numbers have only spewed out more lies and bad excuses such as: "There are too many variables to determine HP, that is why your numbers do not match ours" and the more recent lie "The advertised HP and torque are theorhetical numbers." That is not true, calculated HP, if you account for all the factors as friction, viscosity of the lube of the oil content of a given fuel, etc, and assuming STP, would not be too far from experimental (or actual observed) BHP.

Becasue of this push to bust the bubble of inflated HP and torque advertiesd numbers, I love XRC and will continue to buy their magazine to suport them and halp them get back their investments they put to bring out X-Dyno into the public.
