Fell off the bench and landed right on the shaft, pretty sure it's bent........UGH!!!.....I have a deep socket for the shaft, but how would one go about securing the hub without damage to get the shaft out??
You can do it with an impact wrench. Have someone help you. Have them wear leather gloves and hold the hub then use the impact wrench. Do some short bursts with the impact wrench should come right off. We used this method at work alot on different things. Always worked good.

I prefer using a hub holding fixture. Easy to make from a piece of aluminum or steel strap. Guaranteed not to damage anything and the hub is held firm.
Ahhh, why didnt I think of that???...lol.....great idea
Thanks you guys!
We all have to learn somewhere and I didn't invent that holder. Anything I might have come up with would have been far more complicated and probably less effective!
