aeroworks 31% extra 300l
Was wanting to know if anybody had any experience flying the 31% 300L by aeroworks. I have heard the plane does not slow down for landing and if you get too slow it will just fall out of the sky. I have the H9 Cap 232 1/3 scale and it lands very easy, just wanting to compare it to that. I would really like to build one but if it is hard to land I don't want it. The field I fly at is short and is asphalt, if you run off either end you are for sure to rip the gear off the plane so this is the reason I want a nice plane that will slow down. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

slowing down for landing
I am flying a H9 330L 33% and I was having problems landing. One of our giant scale pilots put 1/4" of pop up in each aileron so when I go to low idle down sw setting on my engine the pop ups go in. Set your pitch for landing, add power for lift and keep your speed up and presto drops in every time. If your not familiar with this do some dry runs at a safe distance first.

AW 31 % Extra
I've got one with the ZDZ 80 single, one scale says 23 lb.another says 24lb. Anyway,I have no problem landing it.It does tend to float more than other big planes but it's not a problem.Has absolutley no bad slow speed habits.Does not snap or drop down. Anybody that can land a H9 Cap will not have a problem with this plane.

I can't agree with EJB more. I have one with a Brison 6.4. No slow speed problems. It does not drop out of the sky. If anything, it floats more than my 36% AW Edge. Very easy to land. Even landing tail wheel first the wings stay locked in all the time.
