Need some advice/help (t-maxx)
Okay so i have a t-maxx. it is an old .15 maxx. A couple years ago i put a 2.5 engine in the truck. recently i bought the 3.3 spec arms hub buckles driveshafts etc. the arms did not fit the bulkheads so i put some fuel tubing as spacers on them so they dont move around. I also ordered a 3.3 spec forward only tranny. The output shafts do not fit onto the tranny. can somone point me to the right output shafts? my t-maxx is not the longer version it still has the old pro .15 enigne chassis.
also two days ago i took my truck out to bash. it was running good, im having fun. after while my pull start would not reel back up. it will just stay pulled out. i would take the spark plug out and it will slowly reel in. the engine would be flooded, by pulling the pull start gettin all the fuel out. so i put the plug back in pull the pullstart and it will just get stuck. whats my problem? it reels back it with no plug and gets stuck with one?
and i need some help choosing a glow ignitor. I dont have luck with rechargable ones at all. idk why i always lose something or it breaks. i want to know if the AA glow ignitors work good at all?
thanks sorry if you dont understand what im saying just ask if your confused.
thanks

RE: Need some advice/help (t-maxx)
also im thinking about getting a new engine completely. im thinking about the 3.3 because they can be had for cheap. now is there a better motor (small block) that can be had for around 100 like the 3.3?

The 4908 forward only tranny uses a 6mm output shaft, the .15/2.5/R and 3.3 4909 use 5mm center shaft yokes. You can either change the FOC output shaft in the 4908 tranny you have to the 4909 5mm FOC shaft (easiest method), or use the 4908 center shafts which will require you to cut the front shaft shorter and dremel the chassis to get clearance for the larger diameter shafts. Which brake setup do you have? Hex, or pin?
Sounds like the OWB (one way bearing)may bestuck to the starter shaft. Remove the bearing clean and lube it, check the starter shaft for wear, cleanthe pull start assembly as well. Also if the screws holding the pull start onto the back plate are over tightened often the pull start will not retract properly.

No reason the 3.3 spec arms would not fit the bulkheads...Did you loose the caster clips on the front?

caster clips? dont know what they are. but i put the .15 arm next to the 3.3 arms and the spaces that go onto the bulkhead were wider than the ones on the .15 arms.
i may just switch the shafts, but man i do hate taking apart the t-maxx transmissions.
as for break setup. i dont know, but it has the little brake pad which goes onto a blue hex piece if thats what you are talking about..
and for now i am just going to use my brother os .18 cv-r. the 2.5 is very old and has very little compression anyways.

RE: Need some advice/help (t-maxx)
okay i put my brothers os .18 cv-r in my trcuk because he doesnt use his and i cant get that damn thing to idle, or stay runnin.
i would get it running and then about would soon overheat and the fuel would boil in the carb before it even got the engine part.
i tried runnin the hsn from 1-4 turns out. at about 13/4 seemed to work the best. most all around power but it would overheat. the lowspeed was two turns in from flush, what my neighboor said was flush but wasnt exactly sure. what is it flush from?
i was using this with somne old traxxas top fuel, the header to the engine is not stock and is a littlebit smaller.

thinking about buying a 3.3 engine, i have the old .15 diff still in the truck and i will be using the stock output shafts, will either of those be a problem? do you guys think they will get torn up?
