Default Giant Stinger...What Engine to Use??

Here is the scoop. I have a friend who has a giant stinger. The wing is built but I have to finish the fuse. I was wondering what would be a good engine for this plane. I have seen g62's on these. What about a DLE 55 Or may maybe a DLE 111?? Really do not the specs on this plane.... I think it has around a 90 or 100 inch wingspan. It should be a fun plane to play around with though!!! Thanks

I believe the G62 is the engine of choice for that airplane. Weight is needed up front for CG because of the short nose moment. I ran a Quadra 50 on mine which is also a boat anchor of a motor. Performance was good. It will weight around 20 lbs with either engine

I have one.....the Giant Stinger has an 84" span and typically ends up around 19-20lbs. The engine of choice is a G-62 and the added weight allows it to balance perfectly. That being said, any strong 50cc-85cc would be just fine!

Hey guy, dont make the same mistake I did with mine. Its about the dumest thng ive done on a plane. I used only one servo on each aileron. I figured out after it fluttered it self to pieces that the reason its designes for two servos per aileron is that its like a wet noodle.

My plans/instructions don't mention anything about using two servos per aileron.....in fact, this is the first I have ever heard of this for this plane. BTW, I have seen/flown more than one Giant Stinger in my day.
