Cox Carb Help
At one time I seem to recall hearing that someone or some company would rework the carbs for the Cox Tee Dee engines. Does anyone recall that contact?
I have a Tee Dee .020 that runs erratically and I feel that the problem is in the carb...
air leaks? etc.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Bill

RE: Cox Carb Help
Bill:
The only things that can go wrong in the TeeDee carb are clogging, and an air leak around the needle. For clogging use a drill bit, 0.007" or 0.008" diameter to clean the three holes, for the air leak put a short length of fuel hose around the threaded part to seal it.
A more probable cause of your erratic running is an air leak at the back plate.
There is one more possibility. The plastic mount could be damaged. It can be repaired by "Plastic Welding."
If you would like, I'll move this thread to the 1/2A and 1/8A forum, you will get more answers there.
