Default 47" EDGE 540 ENGINE CHOICE

i HAVE A OS50SX SITTING ON THE SHELF LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME/PLANE. WOULD THIS BE A GOOD CHOICE FOR THIS PLANE OR SHOULD I GO WITH THE COMBO DEAL WITH YS63?

The OS 50SX is an excellent engine for a profile plane. I have one on an Accel Katana 40 and it's great. Plenty of power.

Yup Razorback58 is speaking truth. I fly my OMP 47" Yak with one and it has plenty to spare even at my altitude. The Yak and the Edge are constructed very much the same so I can't see them weighing any different. The YS is of course a very good choice of engine as well if you have the extra budget. But of course then you are going to have to buy 2 profiles. Maybe a Yak and a Edge, one for the .50 and one for the YS

Another thing to keep in mind is that the YS is going to require high nitro fuel, which means additional expense. It's hard to beat a 4 stroke if you've got the bucks to spend, but the 50 will do just as well.
