My first and last order!
Well OMP...
I placed an internet order on 12/24/05 for a single item that is in stock. I live in Ohio. I called on 12/30/05 asking where it was. After several minutes I was told it would ship that day. Hmmm....Maybe it got lost in the OMP system? I was told I'd have it on Saturday the 31st...Guess what? No motor! "Looks like I won't be flying tonight!"
Any body else have this poor service? By my standards I should have had it on Wednesday the 28th as they were open on Monday the 26th or the 29th at the latest.

Whoa dude. It's the holidays man. The shipping companies are a tad slow at these times. What takes 2-3days may take up to 5 days.
Should be there Mon. or Tues.

No mail on Monday! So Tuesday at the earliest. Lets see...That's 10 days after placing an order that should have been shipped on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

I have to agree with IowaSilver. They may have been open, but remember OMP is a small operation and even folks in the RC business like to take some time off during the holidays. They may have had some of the usual staff off, or just busy with Christmas stuff. I understand your frustration but OMP has a pretty good reputation of taking care of problems. Every company has one slip through the cracks from time to time.
Who you buy from is your business, but an isolated incident will not keep me from purchasing OMP's products.
I doubt Dude was meant to be disrespectful. I'm not crazy about the word, and fuss at my kids when they use it, but in parts of the US it is very popular.

It's the holidays. Things aren't going to happen as quickly as you would like. Other people are busy also.
OMP is a great company and they stand behind their products. I'm sure Mike or Dion will have a good explaination why you didn't receive your package.
Sorry for the DUDE thing. Guess I'm young (26) and stuck in the 90's.

Dave you must have got your engine I take it. I know I took some time off for the holidays and my LHS was busy as heck. So many other people took off too. The key word is you ordered the 24th ,that is shot and you must expect 25th is shot and most everybody was off the 26th. Happy NEW YEAR

DUDE dave..........You must be posting this so others will fill your pain. Here's the way I see it. You place a internet order on Christmas Eve now that was a Saturday, nobody in there rite mind was working and nobody was working intell Monday and most companys let there people off tell Tuesday the 27th. It's the 31st today and we are going into another Holiday 'New Years" if you did'nt know it.
I think Iowasilvia and the others were being very nice about the way they were telling you that its been Holiday Season and most people take a little time off. I think your a Jerk "Dude". Nobody in there rite mind would make a statement like you did around these holidays with being pissed about shipping. Where are you from ? Not this planet I'm sure.
OMP will make every effort to make customers happy, so give'em a brake already and....................CHILL OUT DUDE. I don't care what your name is I don't have to respect you. Your not showing any to OMP and there people around the Holiday Season.

Sorry for the late delay, just got back from a working/vacation, but the company has been open every day (even today's holiday as you can see) except Christmas day and our excuse is this: We don't have one.
I'm sorry to say that of the hundreds of orders processed during the holidays apparently yours was the one that slipped through the system like you said. Perhaps there were others too, but that is to be seen. Luckily you were kind enough to call us and let us know that it did not arrived and we shipped the item that day, I can assure you unintentionally, as it's our company policy to push in stock product immediately.
Once again I'm very sorry as I personally don't like to see my stuff that I order online take longer then it's supposed too. Of course we don't want to lose anyone's business because of it and especially since it's your first order from us. Anyhow if there is some way you want us to make it up to you let us know, we'll try our best to make you happy somehow, because sometimes your worst enemies can become your best friends.

The folks from OMP have responded and at this point in time direct communication with them would be best to resolve any problems still in exisitance. In the interest of keeping the name calling to a limit, I am locking this thread down. Thanks Dave

Actually, even though Dion says we were open. John and I both took time with our families over the holidays and did not work OMP orders until later this past week. Next time we will post "closed for the holidays" more clearly worldwide.

I have ordered several times from OMP usually with special shipping requests and EVERY time they have come thru. They are a great company to deal with and I will do it again without hesitation.
Now if I could just find time to finish that Katana kit.....
