Default Steel Spur Gears and More

hey guys,

Well i think i might be keeping my maxx and well i need new clutch shoes and a spur gear. I keep on stripping mine. Ive replaced several and even asked if got my lhs to do it because i though i did it wrong. But i still stripped it. So i was wondering if the Robinson Racing Steel Spur Gear would be ok to install. I made a whole wish list. Well here it is:
Needs:
-Traxxas Clutch Shoes -7.39
-Robinson Racing Steel Spur Gear- 22.99
-Duratrax LR3 Glow Plug- 2.99
-RD Logics Rear Bulks- 33.18

Wants:
-Pro-Line Dodge Mega Cab Body -24.99
-THS Tuned Pipe -44.99

What else would be some good upgrades?

Thanks, Brendan

I use a robinson racing steel spur, it works fine.

Also, I think you need the THS $21 manifold for the THS pipe.

o ok sweet!
My lhs doesnt recommend it though cause they say that its better to strip a spur gear than the other gears.
But i dont think metal will strip metal. But im not sure im not an expert.

yes, steel will strip your CB. Llastic or delrin spurs should do just fine. YOu might be experiencing chassis flex.

some ways to eliminate that is to get alum chassis underbrace and engine mount. a costless idea that will also help is to bold down your tranny to your chassis, use bolts on one end. You can fit 3 bolts on each side of the tranny.

Yep, a properly tightened plastic spur/slipper will go a long way in preserving your drivetrain.

38 teeth is stock

get a 36 for more top speed or a 40 for better acceleration
