recommended tire for revo
I just bought a new revo and ripped the tire off on the 2nd day driving it. I was doing donuts in pine needles in reverse, and it flipped. I think the side of the rim must have cut through tire, anyways what recommendation does anyone have for good tires with good thread on them, no spike tires. Also do 3.2 rims fit on Revo (with out any spacers or anything) or do you have to run 3.8s. Also if anyone else has some simple or quick advice on the 3.3 revo I'll take it, wish I knew the tires were this cheap I would have got some extras.

I have the Traxxas Response Tires they are like bowties only they are rectangles in stead of bowtie shapes. I blew up one the first day I had them on. Traxxas said it was due to they are made for loose surface conditions. ie; sand clay, dirt, grass, whatever. I blew mine up doing a high speed run across a parking lot. Looked like a real blowout. Half the tire came flying off!!!!! as it was going full throttle across the parking lot. Any way traxxas gave me a new pair of tires and rims for free same kind. Never had a problem since. they said that the tires were of soft compound which made them liable to the rim cutting them from the inside. I still run them on pavement just when i corner it's alot slower now. but they work marvels in loose gravel and surfaces. plus they have plenty of grip for wheelies. I've had them on for over a month and a half now.

how'd you get the free pair? just call and complain... My tire blew ripped in half too, on 2nd day I owned it, should I call them? I figured they'd just tell me the part number for new tires and how much they cost.
what aftermarket tire/rims will fit? will any tmaxx rim/tire fit or do you need to run 3.8 rims on revo?

bowties are proberly one of the best all round tires but they ware quickly, particularly of pavement, badlands are a good tire as well, if you go 40 sires rims mulchers are good for grass and loose or damp gravel, don't use 40 sires if you plan to race, they're big and add a lot of weight to the car, good for bashing.

RE: recommended tire for revo
No I called my LHS that I bought them from and I'm pretty well known there, so my LHS guy said he'd call traxxas and take care of it. He called me back about 15 minutes later and said come on by and pick up a new pair of rims and tires, then explained to me what traxxas said. If I feel I won't succeed in getting my money back or a free replacement on my own through the support or help lines, I'll take it back to the Hobby shop, I mean that's what they are there for right? same thing with my mamba esc I burned it up and took it back they sent it in to castle for a free replacement. and my glow starter... LOL list goes on. they take good care of me, but i do spend a lot of cash with them.... $1100 last weekend. so I feel they owe it to me the least they can do is stand by the product they sell. it's not like it's coming out of their pocket.

thanks for the response guys, yeah spending money at your LHS is the best way to get help, maybe if I stopped ordering my rcs online I'd have better support.
