Problems with tires on my OLD car
Just the other day, I got my old car out of mothballs and wouldn't you know it, it runs perfectly. Just an old 7.2v dune buggy, but with some new NiMh packs, it runs a lot faster than it did 25-30 years ago. But I'm having an issue with the front tires. They aren't staying on the wheels. The tires have an inner lip that fits int a slot on the wheels, but the tires are rolling to the inside and the inner lip is coming off the wheel. I built this car so damn long ago, that I have no idea whether the tires were just friction fit on the wheel or if some sort of glue was used to keep them in place. But even if they didn't have any glue before, they need something now, to keep them on the hoops.
So what should I do to keep the tires on the wheels?
