Default new jump i just built

hi im still waiting for my friend to send me the photos of the truck in the air but heres a pic of the jump and a freind beside it.
hopefully i can upload them tomorow.

i can get the truck about 8-10 feet in the air but we catch it because i dont feel like breaking some parts yet.

Try It Sometime!

i wouldent if i landed perfectly on all 4 wheels. could anyone tell me what they think would happen if it landed upside-down ¿ from 10 feet.

BTW im only going about 20mph when i hit it so i might try it going top speed. it goes about 37mph

ok ive decided im going to make a bigger one tommorow.

that was 4ft tall and 4ft wide and 8 feet 10 feet long.

so im going to buy 2 8x8x12 o.s.b boards and make one 8 feet tall when im done i will take pictures and ill try to get a video up of that thing.

i could use the 4x4x10 as a landing ramp and the big one as the takeoff so i dont have to catch it in the air.

the only thing is that its really heavy to lift up by yourself.

if you don't want to hurt your engine when it lands upside down put the things that are on the plastic zip ties in the four little holes on the heat sink. Put the part that is kinda square and cut off the rest of the zip tie. Then if you roll over, it won't directly hit it.

but still a 8 foot ramp= probolly around 15 feet of air and if it landed upside down those zip ties wont do much.

hopefully you land in grass.
i was at my lhs and the owner showed me his destruction after last weekends jumping.he said he was getting some massive air on some jumps, but came down hard on the top of his savage.

broken parts from what i remember....prolly more

cylinder head all bent up
cracked in half gas tank
broken 2pt roll bar
broken rear shock tower
i dont know what this part is since i dont own a saavage. that silver handle/roll bar type thing....well that was all bent up too.

he must have been jumping with out the body cause the damage was massive.
even if you set up a landing ramp, be prepared tobreak stuff anyway.jumping isnt cheap but when you land a good one its fun as anything. even when you land right on your 1 wheel and break 5 things its still fun.

I don't know what kind of truck you have but if you get a rollcage for it (you probably can find one) then you should be in ok shape if it lands upside down.

the sheer force of the landing if upside down would bend that rollcage like a piece of ABC gum.

Yes, but even if you destroy the rollcage it will absorb enough of the force to protect the other parts of the car which will minimize the damage. Its either the roll cage or engine head, I would rather bend the rollcage than any engine part!

uh i rather bend the engine head... 50$ vs 150$ sounds alot nicer to me!
