Default 700mah, 1200 mah in dragonfly

does anyone know if 10.8 volt 3 cell 700mah lithium ion batteries will work in my dragonfly. I was told by someone that they may not provide a large enough current but according to the manufacturor they are effective with 280 motors and lower, ( the dragonfly has a 280).
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Engwerda

i know of some flying with the 10.8 700 pack very successfully.
i myself have concerns about the control board coping with the voltage long term life may be compromised.

I,m currently using a 7.4 v (2 Cell) 1200ma Li-Po with a 370 motor and separates and am getting 18 minute flights with bags of power to spare. Best move I ever made going to Li-Po. Not sure about the higher voltage though!!

thanks guys, had my first fly with the dragonfly and its lithium batteries, works great.
I can't believe how fun these things are, but i still think that it can be better trimmed as it always drifts left even though the weight is perfect and theswashplate is level. I've heard the problem could be something to do with the natural movement of the blades? any one that can help me please do.
Cheers

Josh, Slight drift to the left on take off is normal and even more pronounced in forward flight due to the reduced airflow over the retreating blade. It should be relatively stable in the hover though. I think with this type of heli it will always drift a little this way or that, I certainly wouldn't worry.
