HiTec 645mg is one of the best steering servos i've come across and I know that the crawler boys use them on the front and rear steering on their trucks. As for receiver I just use a stock 3 channel traxxas receiver. I think it's like #2215??? but don't hold me to that number.

the servo mentioned above is a great servo for the price.......As far as a hump pack battery any 1400 Mah 6V pack will work as long as it has the right connector on it.

I tried the hitec 645mg in my tmaxx. It's a good replacement for the stock servo, but if you have the money you might want to step up to the 985mg. It's got 172oz of torque vs the 645mg's 133oz at 6 volts.

+1 on this for sure!! Its one of the best on the market imo out there and one of th best for the money(very inexpensive for a metal geared servo)....
