One More engine Question???
I have a Hpi rs4 rtr 3 with a 15fe in it and when i run full out in a strait and then hit the brakes to turn around sometimes the engine dies???? and i have to run over to restart it. I tried messing with the idle to no avail. Any suggestions? Also the steering sucks!!!! the servos don't seem to trim correctly they will trim left but not right and also they steer farther left then right. I had the guy at the hoppy shop "center" the steering servo. STILL no diff. Can any one help me get on the strait and narrow???

sounds like you have the needles too lean....try richening the hsn an 1/8 turn and see how it does...if that doesn't completely get it then richen the lsn about an 1/8 of a turn....That should do the trick....about the servo's it could just be that you are getting some interference. Does this turning problem happen every time you drive or just occasionally?

If your TX allows it, limit your negative pull (how far your lever travels backwards) to like 75%, and then tighten your brake adjuster a few turns...

One More engine Question???
How much compression does your engine have?
How hard is it to turn over by hand when immediately after it stalls?
How hot does is it get when you run it?
How much fuel have you run through your engine?
When you close your carburetor so that it stops against your idle set screw, how open is the barrel from fully closed off?
Is your clutch staying engaged when you brake?
BTW: You should always adjust your idle with your carb and never with the radio. The endpoint adjustments are there to set the servo to stop pulling or pushing when either the carb is fully open (so it doesn't strain pulling against an open carb) or when full break is applied (and the tension spring or fuel tubing is almost fully compressed).

Celly, you're right on the money. When I referred to tension spring or fuel tubing, I was concerned with the carb linkage. You should always adjust servo travel for the carb linkage, then adjust the brake linkages accordingly.
