Royal Partenavia P-68
Hi:
Just wanted to share some pictures with you from my latest build: a Royal Partenavia P-68 Victor. This definitively a builders kit as any other Royal kit. It has 2 x 25 with muffler extension to clear the nacelle's, servos are kinda mixed, radios is a JR 12x DMS2, build is well.....a build. Don't even want to remember all the details but I will be happy to answer any questions. Stills has not flown, need to balance and break in the engines. It also has nav and landing lights installed.
Enjoy

I bought one that's built and almost ready for covering and will put in brushless motors in it. Haven't got it yet but a friend has picked it up for me since it's on the other side of the country.
How much space is it from the centre of the motor to the fuselage? Is it space enough so I can use 11-12" propellers?

Prop Size
Hi Knutt:
Thank you for your interest in my Partenavia. The picture attached shows size 9 props. I put next to it a 12 size prop and I got a clearance for the tip of the prop to the side of the fuse of 1 inch. Hope this info helps.
Regards,
Christian

Hi Christian,
I built a P68 last year from the Radio Modeller plan. All completed, and I've now tuned the 2 x Irvine 25 2St to run properly. Not made the spats yet as our runway is old asphalt and can be a bit destructive!
Just about to fit a CSM gyro on the rudder to help with adverse yaw in case of an engine out. May need to fettle the rudder to get more deflection and authority though. Will have a look to see if I can convert to a pull - pull linkage.
Didn't get to maiden it last year - but should be any week now.
The plan called for 2 x 19 2St, but I had the 25's left over from the Rich Uravich Bronco I built many years ago as my first twin.

Boy that brings back memories. I built one of these back in the 70's had two Fox 25 engines. If I remember correctly the fuse was a pain to build something like two parts then grafted together??? Anyway it's a very nice and safe twin to fly. Beautiful job and good luck with the maiden. Mine was a very easy flying twin.
Thanks,

I retired from California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. We had/have one (full scale ) with a glass floor for night Law Enforcement use. Spent many hours in it watching basically for high powered lights or traffic in remote areas, ground officers were directed to the activity.
I have an idea it would make a nice scale one-off model. The main Department base was/is at Executive Airport in Sacramento. I have been retired for a while so some things may well have changed?
Just a little trivia?

HI,
I just acquired a NEW ( as in untouched,no parts moved out of original position) Royal P-68 Victor Kit.
This kit belongs to a friend who would like to sell it. IS there any interest from a true builder out there?
[email protected] you can email me for pics and more info.
