Top Flite Giant Scale Corsair Servos
Hi Bax,
I'm just in the middle of construction of the Top Flite Giant Corsair and I've hit a snag with Servos. Since this is my first large scale aircraft I have no idea at what servos to use in this beast! There are just so many to choose from.
I'm trying not to blow the budget out too much with expensive servos. I will be using a Zenoah G62 for power if that helps. I like to fly a little aggressively at times too!
Please suggest servos for all control surfaces and retracts if thats not too much trouble
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Daz

RE: Top Flite Giant Scale Corsair Servos
For the control surfaces, we'd recommend servos with about 100 oz.-in. of torque to start with. The retract servo choice depends upon the type of retracts. For pneumatic retracts, any servo, even a mini or micro will do, because the retract valve requires very little force. Same for throttle. If your retracts are mechanical, then a 180-degree retract servo, 1 per gear, should do the job.
