TT-01 , Brushless 3.5T .. what gearing?
Hallo , So i kind of plan on getting a 3.5T brushless system for the TT-01 and was wondering - what gear ratio do i go with? i have never changed the gear ratio in the thing and at the mo im runing a 15T modified motor , brushed. Also if anyone has the time can you simply state how the gearing thing goes please?
E.g smaller pinion = faster top speed
smaller spur = faster top speed
Just not sure how this works or what i should try , the main thing i want out of a 3.5 is sheer speed
Any help is apreciated thank you , silv

RE: TT-01 , Brushless 3.5T .. what gearing?
Personally, I think a 3.5t brushless system is too much for a TT-01. The chassis is heavy, the steering is sloppy and it needs some upgrades like shaft, bearings, oil filled shocks, cvds... etc. I like the TT-01 but it wasn't really meant as a top end speed demon. The TA-05 or one of the TRF cars would do better. I'd say for the TT-01 a 8.5t is more than enough.
Don't get me wrong, I like all 3 of my TT-01s but they just were not designed with this in mind, they are an entry level chasis.

which ever gearing you put in it, it will last about 5 mins before it strips the spur
Also, you will need to have plenty of spare drivetrain parts because they will not last long at all

upgrade the differentials.... and metal gear should do the job...I think the tire is important if you want good handling with brushless..

I would gear it standard at 19/61 as over gearing it wont be needed for BL power.i ran this combo on a vxl setup and it still had a good top speed
