I put a BME 50 in one. Talk about over-powered !

I am having some RF problems which I hope to resolve soon. Some calm non-rainy weather would also be nice. Only have 2 flights on it so far, will do more once the RF problem is resolved.

I fly out of CCRC (Cobb county).

Regards,
Craig.

Maybe we should get together sometime and fly!
I fly at the mcdonough field and the griffin field.
I belong to both clubs.

Sounds good. I am going back to Indy next weekend but the weekend after that, sounds good. I have found that with unlimited vertical I don' t have to manage airspeed like I use to. It makes exiting a maneuver at a slower speed than needed to complete the next maneuver, which requires an up line, easier.

Geistware, would a ZDZ 40 be a good choice? Also whats your radio set-up? Servos?

Nice Plane.... Check out my Avatar. It's my G202 with a Supetigre 3250 in it. Talk about unlimited vertical

Shortman,
Yes, I do believe that the ZDZ 40 would be a good choice. I expected a nose heavy condition to cause problems. What I have found is that you will need to use cored servos in the tail or move some of the battery weight to the rear. I met a guy in N.C. who had built an access panel in the tail of his plane, and the only extensions he had were for the ailerons and throttle. he was flying with a magneto ignition system. His setup had to be heavier than mine and he didn't use any weight. I am using 5 oz in the tail.

I think I found the perfect engine for this plane. The MVVS 1.6 gasser! Weighs a pound less than any other 2.4 gasser and has great power

Well I read a thread on the Giles and it appears a lot of people having trouble with an upthrust problem and incidence?

How did your guys planes fly

I have never owned a plane that had the same trim at idle as I do at full power so if that is there issue then yes there is a problem. I prop my engines to allow me to do all my maneuvers at half throttle or less and vertical is full throttle. With my TWO giles, I do not have a problem. If there is a thrust problem, then it is either unique, or a poor assembly job.
