Default MBX R2 vs. RTR 9.5

ok the 9.5 RTR with c-hubs is 390.

i can get the mbx r2 for 150, 130 for hyper 8 motor, and put the XS3 radio on it. so ic omes out to about 480.

which would you pck and why? and also take notice that i might convert the 9.5 to the xs3 also

if you have any plans on racing, stay away from the MBX, the chassis is very outdated and has no front kickup which will plant your nose hard on a lot of jumps and whoops and such costing you time, you will also not need the XS3 if youa re racing, no need for all those channels really unlesss at the track. If you do plan on racing, buy the 9.5 and then save up a little more cash and get the XS3 later on, you will like it much more.

Which should I get: The OFNA 9.5 RTR or the OFNA 9.5 MBX RTR? I am so confused... I can get the OFNA 9.5 RTR $60.00 cheaper than the MBX right now...

Thanks!

MBX Pro has a kickup, and I added an LX chassis to my MBX R2, it was $9! I myself like kits more than RTR's so I can make my choice in radio & motor, I'm very happy with my MBX. I'd say the 9.5 but like you said you want the XS3 in there which is another good deal of cash. I use a Futaba 3PDF radio and it's great.

The 9.5 mbx has the pivot ball front end. Thats the main differance. A little easier to adjust the front end is all.

The radios that come with RTR's suck most of the time. I use the JR XS3 and like it. Not saying it is best, but I love not using crystals. Just change the channel and you are good to go and it has a 6 car memory which is nice as well.
