Default Toe-In Gauge for 1/8 Buggy

I'm looking for a way to measure toe on my MP-7.5. I've seen the RaceTech Off-road alignment gauge, which looks okay but for $35 that's a little much just to measure toe only. I've looked at the RPM guage, which is kind of neat but seems to rely on you using tires that have ribs. Of course with my buggy, they all have pins, or X's or slats at an angle to the tire, not parallel.

Any suggestions? Has anyone used the RaceTech? Is is okay? Someone suggested Hudy, which is what I use for my on-road car, but that is complete over-kill.

Thanks.
