I just purchased a trex 600. (Still needs a gyro/tail servo, 6s Lipo, main blades, and receiver/transmitter)

CaN someone out in the universe again help me with this? Where can i buy these items and how much would i need to spend ? If any of you have these for sale let me know. By the way i was thinking of buying a transmitter (futaba 7c transmitter mode 2, heli version 2.4 ghz faast) if i do what receiver do i need ? Thanks for the help As you can see i'm new to this hobby, but i'm hooked

Helidirect has a good selection of those items that you need. It is a personal choice on how much you want to spend. You can get the cheapest stuff out there or go all the way up to the high end electronics. I can't help you with the futaba receiver since I use a DX7. Then for the battery you can expect to pay close to $300/ battery unless you get a Zippy battery which is around $120/ battery. The Zippy batteries can be purchased at hobbycity.

There are many different ways to setup a T-Rex 600. I have only tried my setup and can't comment on others. You can go from mild to wild and anyplace in between. The only limitation is the limit on your Visa card.

I am not running the stock motor and esc. However, I do fly with a guy that is running the stock power setup. He is running 3 different types of 6S 500 packs. He has a couple of the Zippy packs, a Thunder Power and an Outrage pack. They all seem to provide decent power but the stock setup is lacking for my taste. If you are beginner it will serve you well until your skills progress.

I control everything using a Spektrum DX7

I am also running the torque tube tail but do not recommend it for beginners. I would however recommend immediately upgrading the [link=http://www.readyheli.com/H60163_78_New_Gray_Metal_Main_Rotor_Holder_TREX_60 _p/h60163-78.htm]Align Metal main grips[/link]. I don't really like trusting the plastic grips swinging those large blades. I run the metal grips and have been very happy with them.

As you can see it starts to add up very quickly. My heli flies very well and has loads of power. It is very stable and can tear up the sky when I want it to! With the govenor I am able to keep my headspeed pretty constant at 2100rpm and get about 4:30 per flight.

As a beginner you might check out the [link=http://www.readyheli.com/JR_DS821_Digital_Sport_Hi_Torque_Servo_p/jrps821.htm]DS821[/link]. These servos are relatively cheap and will get through hovering and into basic forward flight. If you want to get a little nicer servo you might check out the new [link=http://www.readyheli.com/K10425A_DS610_Digital_Servo_p/k10425a.htm]Align DS610[/link]. I have been hearing some good stuff about these new servos. For the tail I would recommend the tried and true [link=http://www.readyheli.com/Futaba_GY401_S9254_Digital_Servo_Combo_p/futm0808.htm]Futaba GY401 gyro with a S9254 servo[/link]. This combo is great for beginners and sport flyers.
